The Warrior in Jet and Gold is a servant of the Runestaff and a mysterious but persistent ally to Dorian Hawkmoon and the folk of Castle Brass. He is a huge warrior in fully enclosing plate armour of black metal trimmed with gold and an enigmatic, faceless helm. He may or may not be Sepiriz or another Nihrainian. His identity is further thrown into question by the claim that Orland Fank is his brother, and Orland Fank does not appear to be a Nihranian, lacking their characteristic ebony skin. In Elric: The Balance Lost, when Sepiriz appeared to Elric, Corum Jhaelen Irsei, and Hawkmoon, the latter claimed not to know him, until he revealed himself to be the Warrior in Jet and Gold, greatly surprising Dorian.
