Narleen is a city in Amarehk. It is the counterpart to New Orleans in the possible future World of the Dark Empire. Narleen is ruled by the merchant lord Pahl Bewchard. Within the city of Narleen lies the walled district of Starvel, which is ruled by the Pirate Lords of Starvel, who consider themselves to be the true masters of Narleen. The city of Narleen, specifically Starvel, is the resting place of the Sword of the Dawn.
