The Monument of the Eagle is a monument of black marble with an eagle carved at the top, wings outspread and claws extended, located in a marsh near the city of Ameeron. At the base of the monument is a door that serves as the entrance to the Tunnel Under the Marsh that leads to the Pulsing Cavern. The path leading through the marsh to the monument itself is a black marble walkway, slippery and precariously balanced so that those on foot are at risk of falling and being swallowed by the marsh.[1]
