Magum Colim is the Grand Admiral of the Melnibonéan navy and a close friend of Elric. He has known Elric his entire life and encouraged him to learn about naval warfare and commanding warships. Inwardly he feels that Elric may be too scholarly and introspective to be an effective ruler, but nonetheless remains loyal to him and has always acknowledged his right to the Ruby Throne. Magum Colim served as Regent when Elric and Dyvim Tvar set out on their quest to rescue the kidnapped Cymoril from her brother Yyrkoon. In battle, Magum Colim wears sea green armour and commands the navy from the flagship of the fleet, The Son of the Pyaray. He is counted among the Dragon Princes of Melniboné.[1]
