Whiskers is a small, black, winged cat owned by Jhary-a-Conel. Whiskers is highly intelligent, and will follow orders given by Jhary. When not flying around, Whiskers usually sleeps in a bag carried by Jhary.
Post-Jhary[]
After Jhary joined the many statues in Tanelorn at the end of The Quest for Tanelorn, Orland Fank gave Whiskers to Hawkmoon's daughter Yarmilla. In Elric: The Balance Lost, Whiskers informed her of the resurgence of the Order of the Fly. She related this to Hawkmoon, prompting him and Huilliam D'Averc to travel to Narleen to stop them, which they only achieved by aiding their fellow Eternal Champions and Companions in restoring the Cosmic Balance. After they did so, Whiskers watched Elric return Hawkmoon to his family before departing on the Moonbeam Roads.
Possible Appearances[]
A small, black and white cat (albeit without wings) shows up in many other novels, notably in Gloriana and the Cornelius Quartet. This cat is very possibly Whiskers, since it bears the exact same description, lacking only wings. The cat is very often seen in the company of Una Persson.
