Cornelius Brunner, also known as Corn, Captain Brunner and C. Brunner, is an amalgamated, hermaphroditic fusion of Jerry Cornelius and Miss Brunner. In A Cure for Cancer, Jerry somehow meets Cornelius Brunner, this time as an albino captain garrisoning a concentration camp in America, bearing a striking resemblance to Ulric Von Bek.
In the film version of The Final Programme, the advent of Cornelius Brunner as a glorious, messianic hermaphrodite is changed, bizarrely, to that of a sarcastic caveman, altering the ending dramatically and rendering it almost unrecognizable.
