Dyvim Slorm is one of the two sons of Dyvim Tvar, along with his half-brother Dyvim Mav. His mother is either Niopal or Saramal (it is not specified which), both of whom were Dyvim Tvar's mistresses. Dyvim Slorm and Dyvim Mav were both trained by their father as Dragon Masters.[1]
In The Flamebringers, Dyvim Slorm was the leader of a wandering band of Imrryrian mercenaries after the death of Dyvim Tvar. With a force of dragons he came to the aid of Elric and Moonglum in their battle against the conqueror Terarn Gashtek and his barbarian horde.[2]
In Stormbringer, Dyvim Slorm was the last of Elric's kinsmen, and wielded Stormbringer's twin sword Mournblade that was given to him by Sepiriz, the Nihrain servant of the Cosmic Balance. After helping Elric slay Darnizhaan the Dead God and retrieving the Chaos Shield from the giant Mordaga, the last two Melnibonéans together with Moonglum roused the remaining Phoorn from their sleep and rode them into their final fight against Chaos. Dyvim Slorm and his dragon perished in the battle.[3]
